Sustainability Talks

On Saturday in our Speakeasy Tent, host Lorna MacPhail, a self-leadership & Embodiment Coach, renowned for her 1:1 coaching and passion for self-fulfilment will engage in talks with an eclectic mix of leading experts in the field of sustainability. Discussing the topic of ‘Circular and Regenerative Food Systems’ will be Dr Vincent Walsh, the founder and CEO of RegenfarmCo, Mim Black and Marco Tenconi from Rhyze Mushrooms, as well as argo-ecoligist from Peelham Farm, Denise Walton. A 1-hour panel discussion (including a 15 minute audience Q&A), will see these virtuosos share their knowledge in order to demystify the differences between circular and linear food production, find pathways toward reducing the impact of food production, and introduce fascinating discoveries which will shape how our food is produced in the future.

Sunday will see host Dougal Perman, executive Chair of SMIA (Scottish Music Industry Association) joined by Jen O’Brien, founding Director of Music Broth and Caro Overy, Green Arts Manager from Creative Carbon Scotland, as they engage in a lively discussion on the topic of ‘Sustainability and Live Music’. This exciting talk looks at the challenges and solutions currently being explored across the music industry in terms of sustainability, with a focus on live music and the artist perspective.
